Hawaii Pictures

I was meaning to post Rob and mine Hawaii Trip. Rob actually won a trip to Hawaii from a Gold's Gym challange he lost 52 lbs and 12 inches in 12 weeks. So we went on our 10 year anniversary and we had a blast. Rob and I stayed in Oahu for 5 days and 5nights. We hiked up to diamond head and somebody told us it was a 1 mile to get to diamond head which I had to laugh it turned out to be 2.5 miles from our hotel to the base of Diamond head and to hike clear up to the peak to diamond head it was 1.5 miles up and another one 1.5 miles going down. We were unable to see pearl harbor and polynesian cultural center. We tried to fit everything in but we wish we could've stayed longer. We went on a tour bus to see the pineapple center, macadamian, Japanese budhahist temple, and of course the Hawaii Temple, catch this there was a dog cementary so people there can go and pay respect for there dog. We went to hanauma bay to snorkle I had the roughest time I was getting water in the gear and I just panked. So next time we are going to buy are own. It was kinda of fun the birds there they just walked right by you and they never flew a way. There was this guy his name was Geroge and he was a veteran and he was homeless well on the tour we had to bring our own lunch so we did and we had granola left and we bought a luch box and we gave it to George, from being in the sun his skin was awful it just made me sad. TurboKick Training

Last Saturday the 26th I had a great opportunity to do this fun training called Turbokick. It's kinda a group of exercise and martial arts. It burns a lot of calories and it's a great cardio workout. I just love it. I am so glad that I had the time that learned to be an instructor for TubroKick so I can teach. Here is a picture of the girls that took the class. It was a blast, in June I am going to certify to teach in Hustle can't wait.

My Grandpa March 10, 1926 - February 1, 2011

My grandpa passed away and boy I am sure going to miss him. My grandpa had a great giant teddy bear heart. He always accepted the hand that he was dealt with in his life, it didn't matter what it was but he did it. I was truely blessed that I had a great relationship with him because he told me things about my mother that I never knew because she died when I was 11. I will always remember all the easters that we had just right up the hill close by my Grandma and Grandpa's I have really missed those days. My grandpa for the past 2 years was like a father to me he told me never to give up and to have faith. My grandma, my aunt Valoy, and I told that my grandpa and my mom and some other relatives never inviteds to there party on the other side. Grandpa I am going miss you and I love you.

What I have been up to lately?

Well I have been pretty busy lately in October I had a bone that I was calcfying and it was removed from my hip and I was unaware that I was allgeric to the blue stitches and I had a huge ball full of infection and the doctor had to go back in during the Thanksgiving week and he used different stitches and he put drains in and that didn't work so he wanted me to wear a wound vaccum and I needed to be in a hypberbaric chamber that gives you full of oxygen. As of right now my wound is starting to heal and I'am almost done with hyperbaric chamber. Here is some pictures that Rob took while I was in the chamber, I also found a picture of a wound vac on the internet. With all of this happening I go to the gym and the doctor's are glad because it helps with the healing process.

Surgery

Well for the past couple of months I had surgery I had a hard time passing kidney stones so the doctor had to take me in to surgery so I could pass the stones that was not fun at all. Then I had both of my hip replaced two years and I had caculim defied bone and it was not suppose to be there so the hip specilist removed that it was about two inches long, the doctor took a picture of that and I was going to scan that but I was out of ink. Rob and I were also busy because we had to sell cute little shih-tzu puppies.

Lake Tahoe Here I Come!

At Gold's Gym they had this contest for the month of August who ever is there the most for the month of August wins a trip to Las Vegas, NV. Laughlin, NV. Mesquite, NV., Reno, NV., Lake Tahoe, NV., Tunica, MS., or Biloxi, MS.. I could've choose one of them on my list I have heard that Lake Tahoe is really pretty so that is were I am going with my husband on are anniversary. I just can't believe it's been 9 years since we have been married. I am so grateful that I won this trip for him so we can get away and have fun. During this contest all together I have lost over 60 lbs I still need to loose a little bit more but 60 lbs is fine for me right now.

5 Years Cancer Free Baby!

It's been 5 years cancer free for me this month. I can't believe it. I went to the cancer relay for life this year and I joined the Gold's Gym team and it was a blast and I had a really fun time. I thought I could stay the whole night but I had a stupid kidney infection. I stayed until midnight but I went back up the next moring. My great husband ran for me 51/2 miles for me, what a great hero that I have. :) Also being cancer free for 5 years Gold's gym had asked me to be in the Hyrum 4th of July parade for them and I did the cyclying bike for them and that was really fun. By having cancer I just couldn't do it without my Heavnly Father and my husband he has been the greatest support to me and sure love him, and Heavnly Father for giving me the strengh to get through cancer.

I thought I would post this little clip because, sometimes these things happen to some of us that are trying to push forward. It seems like if we try to do a goal that we have and that we get to that place and we break down then we go back to get help. Then we do it again then the same things happen exact same place then we have to walk back again. I feel like this in my life somedays, but I am so grateful for the Savior that we have and the atonement that we all can repent and live with the Savior so we all can't give up and don't QUIT and don't GIVE UP.

I go to Gold's Gym here in Logan and they had a competition and I won my age group and I could win 12,500.00 and on top of that I could win 2,000.00. Well the puppies are six weeks old now but they haven't broken in their teeth yet and they are very tiny. This is our first litter that we have ever had that never had their teeth in yet. Well Rob and I were gone to a doctor's appointment in Salt Lake and we were gone for a couple of hours and we came home with toilet paper all over the place. I made sure before I left it was up and I don't know how Mimi got it but she did. I do know Mimi is a little stinker but we do love her. Rob and I have been real busy Luna had just one puppy, when Luna was in her heat Luna always found away to get her diper off and one night she did and Zeus got a hold of her and got her pregant with one puppy. Well she had to have a cesection and the puppy looks so much like a shih-tzu and we named him Nabu and he real cute. Isis also had puppies on 4/2/2010 she had 4 puppies 3 boys and 1 girl Their names are Jar Jar, Padme', Obi, and Snootles Will post pictures of the puppies later but here are some pictures Mimi getting toilet paper all over.

I thought I would post some pictures of my dog's. I am so grateful that I have them in my life they are lot of fun. Well Isis is going to have puppies again that was an accident Isis is doing good and she will have her puppies around April 1. When you have dogs you have to keep a close eye on them.
Well Mimi picked up this little thing, Rob and I were down in Salt Lake at a doctor's appointment and when we came home there was toilet paper all scattered everywhere, Mimi loves toilet paper. Luna is just Luna no one can have me but her if anyone gets in her way watch out she will come after you. Zeus and Isis is are just pals, Isis is just a motherly kind of shih-tzu. I just love my dogs. One thing I have taught Mimi is to bark and Rob gets so bugged but all I do is laugh. I have to record it sometime. I know my posts are always about my dogs but hey they are like my kids.

LaNell Crookston Glenn Jensen1929 ~ 2010LaNell Crookston Glenn Jensen used her last breaths to sing praises and pray. Her second battle with Pneumonia this year ended after 3 days in American Fork Hospital she returned to her Heavenly Home Tuesday January 26th 2010. She had just celebrated her 80th birthday; her life began with a miracle at birth on December 24th, 1929, in Wellsville Utah, surviving a blood transfusion implemented from her father, William Hendry Glenn, to her soon after birth. Her Mother; Jennie Crookston Glenn was praying nearby, in a time when transfusions usually failed this great miracle began a full life of a beautiful daughter of God.She met here sweetheart Nolan Mac Jensen at a dance in Hyrum Utah and they were married in the Logan Temple three months later, June 17th 1947. They lived in Star Valley Wyoming at the beginning of their married life.LaNell is survived by each of her five children and her husband of 62 years, Nolan is 86 years old. Her children are; Toney Palyka, Kathie (Mike) Van, Deon (Jill) Jensen, Wendell (Valerie) Jensen, Chris (Cheri) Jensen. She also is survived by 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren her sister, Millie Glenn Lewis. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, brother Lowell R. Glenn and three siblings who died in infancy.LaNell Jensen made an art out of being a homemaker, she maintained her home as if it were a temple on the earth, she could crochet, sew, cook wonderfully and maintain a garden full of beautiful flowers. I was talking to my gandma today and she was telling about a story about my mom's childhood and how they knew LaNell. LaNell's mother baby sat my mom when grandparents were busy working and doing other things. They gotten a strong bond between the families. When I was growing up LaNell and Nolan moved out to Cedar Fort and we did things with them and they were like 2 grandparents to us. They did a lot for my mom when my grandparents couldn't be there. My grandma and grandpa (Betty and Jay Bankhead) were extremely grateful for the love that LaNell showed my mom and my 6 sisters and I when they were unable to travel down to Cedar Fort. I am surely going to miss LaNell she will be in my heart. I love you LaNell.

I have had a lot gone on for a month or so. Lately I haven't been feeling to good I have lost about 1 1/2 around my waist within a week or so I think I am exicted about that. Rob & I have entered a contest at gold's gym here in Logan that both of us can win up to $12, 500.00 each so we are crossing are fingers for that, also we can win a trip to Hawaii too. I had a great Christmas we got a new computer, and a desk to go with it, also beads my favorite thing to do. Rob & I spent most of our time with my grandparents watching movies they gave us history of my greatgrandparents and I will cherish that. Rob & studed out Zeus to Lily to the family that we gave Lily too. Lily had 6 puppies 5 boy's and 1 girl but one little boy died. Here are some cute pictures of Zeus and Lily's puppies.

Here our some cute pictures of our dogs. Isis and Zeus had to get groomed, Isis her little bows in her hair looked so cute but after she got home she didn't think so she just kept on rubbing her little head on the couch to get them out but I refused to have her get them out. Well Mimi and Luna didn't need to get groomed, so but they are cute anyways. Isis for some odd reason ever since she had her puppies she barks now she never did before she finally found her bark. It's been 18 years since my mother died

I can't believe it has been 18 years today, it just seems like it was yesterday that she died. A day doesn't go by that I don't think of my mom and wish she could be here with me what I am facing today. I do know that Heavenly Father called her home for a special reason. I am so proud that I am her daughter and yes I have picked up some traits from her but hey that isn't so bad at all. When I was going through cancer I had felt her presents. I want to share this little something from a preisthood blessing that I recieved when I was going through cancer. In this blessing my mom asked personally from Heavenly Father if she could be able to be a support to me while I was going through cancer. What an amazing blessing I got, that put my mind at ease because I wanted my mother there when I was throwing up from the chemotherapy treatments and that made me feel so much better. I just want to say I love you mom and I miss you!

Rob and I found out we were watching abc news. 111th congress introduced Humanity and Pets Parnered Through the Years (HAPPY) Act effective 12-31-2009 which amends the IRS code of 1986 which allows a deduction for pet care ecpenses which it was introduced by Congressman Thaddeus McCotter (R - Mich) which is know as (HR3501) because of the ecomony which allows up to $3,500.00 write off on your taxes. Why they want to do this is because to many people are abandoning pets.

I had to post a couple of cute pictures of Mimi. This chihuahua she has a funny personality I am so glad that Rob and I got her. Rob had said "she looks like a bat, but a cute little bat." She is sure Luna's little shadow though, she follow's Luna every where now Luna is teaching Mimi to sleep on my head. Okay after getting rid of 4 of our dogs and just keeping 3, Rob and I told each other no more dogs. Well how long did that last. Hmmm not that long. Luna needed a friend because Isis and Zeus was always gaining up on her especially Zeus. Rob found this cute little chihuahua it took us forever to find this cute little chihuahua because we get picky about dogs because people out there inbreed dogs out there. So we found a little girl chihuahua and we named her Mimi, well she follows Luna everywhere. One bad thing Luna has taught her how to get in the garbage not a cool thing because I don't know why but Luna likes to get the qutips out of the garbage and that is sick and she likes the tissue out of the garbage too so now we have to keep the garbage up high now. But now Luna has a friend to cuddle up with and we bought them a bed one time we caught them snuggling together in the puppy bed. Mimi is so cute and she gets really curious though so I am on my toes with this little one. Now we just have 4 and that is just in the city limit and no more.

Today Rob and I went to go to Ogden because I had a doctor's apponitment and we got down there a little earlier so we decided to stop at Costco. Well Rob and I was looking around and there were paintings of Greg Olsen's and we were looking at them because we just admire his work and he does really good. Well there was this gentleman talking to us and he was just telling us about some of his new work and I was just telling him that he was my friend on facebook and we love his work and love his panitings and this gentleman told us "go peek around the corner and tell that him yourself" So Rob and I had a chance to meet Greg Olsen in person and what a great experince that is. So now Rob and I can say that we have met Greg Olsen and President Dieter F. Uchtdorf. I thought I would post some of Greg Olsen paintings on my blog because I admire his work because I feel the spirit so strong when I look at his work and I feel so close with the Savior.

Luna follows me everywhere I go. If I just go get the mail and I just get off the computer and and it is right by the door she jumps off the chair and she is right behind me. She goes in the bathroom and one funny thing is when she is in the bathroom she goes around the bathroom toilet. When I am in bed asleep she lays on my head or my neck. She has to be with where ever I go. If I don't pick her up she starts digging at my feet until I pick her up. Luna is just a fun little dog.

I picked up a new hobby. I love beading it is so much fun. I made a watch out of beads and what a fun thing to do. There is this place here in Logan called Beadles Originals and they have classes and they teach you how to make watches, earrings, necklaces, and other fun things. Well Rob and I got rid of Mustardseed, Rocky, and Daisy. It is so quite in our house now. I am sure going to miss those dogs, they played a big part in my life and Rob's as well. Mustardseed was the shih-tzu and my sister Ashlee and my cool brother in-law gave Mustardseed to us right after I got done with my chemotherapy and he was such a fun little guy. Rocky and Daisy they were fun to they really showed who was boss. So I decided to share pictures of when they were puppies. I love Mustardseed, Rocky, and Daisy!

A few weeks ago Rob and I gave away one of are shih-tzu's away. When I came back up to Logan having 7 dogs is a chore. People thought we were crazy having 7 dogs but it was fun and also it helped me when I went through cancer. I am sure going to miss my little Lily and her attitude and she sure showed people who was boss! We have 3 more dogs to let go and it is going to be hard because I am so attached to my dogs because I am unable to have kids of my own. Lily went to a good home and that all it counts.

Marriage

I know that everyone knows that I was getting a divorce but I am not now. I know that Rob has changed. Yes it's going to take time to have us both heal. I tell my self I am a fighter and I can make my marriage work. Last Saturday I went to the cancer relay for life and I got this quote and I want to share it with you. Divorce is not always the option, but both parties need to be willing to help each other.

As I read that quote people need to understand the heart and mind of a person, and always look what they did right. Not judging them, people in this life our not perfect and we all make mistakes in this life. Marriage does take effort and yes it is not easy for anyone. But as look at I try and trust in my Father in Heaven. I just wanted to tell Rob I love him and I forgive him.

I thought I would give you an update to tell you how I am doing. Well my cancer doctor referred me to a gastrointestinal Specialist because I always get bowel obstructions whenever I have surgery. The specialist has done blood work to see if my lining of my stomach is okay because of chemotherapy and due to other problems as well. I am grateful to have my family because they have helped me out a lot, during my cancer and I am so thrilled it will be 5 years in June that I am cancer free.

It's Been Awhile Since I Posted

I was in the hospital for about 2 weeks working on my problems. It has been hard but I am trying to relay on Lord to carry me up in the time of needs. I just wanted to tell you all thank you for thinking of me and being my friend. I hope all is well with you and your prayers are in my prayers. You take care and I will start keeping up on blog.

You read it all right I did have surgery again on the 30th, because of my incision came opened, and now it is infected and I will find out more at the doctor's visit February 11. Other then that I am doing well. I have a brand new niece and her name is Rachel Marie Hewes. When I get pictures of her I will post them soon.

Reporting After Surgery

Well I wished it went better then it did. My wound came opened and it is no fun at all! Going through menapause at the age of 28 is no fun, my hormones are all over the place. Having hormones one day and the other day you don't have any at all. Right now I am trying all sorts of things to help so I don't have hot flashes at all and they are no fun. Enough complaining I have to try to trust in the Lord that everything will be okay. It is not easy but I there are things that I have to go through and they are not easy but I can do it!

Surgery Here We Go!

Yes, another surgery for 1/6/09. I can't keep track on how many surgeries I have had. My surgery is going to be at the Huntsman Cancer Inst.. So I hope everything will all go well. I am here at my older sister Alisha's house in Lehi and I am having a lot of fun with her kids and they keep me busy that is for sure. Well I will keep you updated on how things go with my surgery.

I had a fun Christmas, I spend it with my older sister Alisha and her family what a fun Christmas. I had a chance to watch my 2 nieces and my nephew open up their gifts and to watch their reactions. I am so very blessed to have family that are really supportive that open their home up for family. It was a very fun Christmas that I had.

Well I know I haven't posted anything about my Thanksgiving because Rob and I had the stomach flu and that is no fun, I haven't felt like that since my chemotherapy. Rob and I just stayed home with his dad because he didn't have anyone to spend it with. I am so greatful for a lot of things, my little family with Rob meaning all my dog's, my 6 sister's, and my mom and dad. I am also greatful for my health, yes that is hard to say I know that I have had 25 surgies within the last 7 years but it has taught me a lot and it made me into a different person. Amanda is going to have her baby any time now and the last time I heard she at 3 and I will keep everyone posted on how she is.

I know this has taken me awhile to post, but I can't believe it has been 17 years since my mother passed away. I know that I was 11 when she died, but when she was alive she taught me so many things, and she is a great example in my life. When I had cancer I had a blessing from my husband and a good friend of mine, and in the blessing she asked Heavenly Father personaly if she could be with me to help me through my cancer, and what a great blessing that was and I could feel her by my side when I was having a hard time through chemotherapy. I think about her everyday and I love her so much!

On November 8, 2008 I was able to attend my younger sister Amanda's baby shower. It makes me sad that I am unable to have kids of my own, but I can be a great Aunt. So I thought I would post some picture's of my nieces and nephews. From top to bottom, their name's are Kylie, Asher, Eden, Brody, Sophie and Conner. When all my sister's and I get together I am exiceted to see them becasue they are fun to play with and they are the cutest. Amanda is due in December and she is having a little boy named Ian, and my sister Andrea she is having a little girl named Racheal. Each one of my nieces and nephews have their own personality and I guess that is what makes them so much fun. I love being an Aunt!

Another Surgery

Well I had another surgery, I fill like that is my life at the moment. The hip doctor went in and cleaned out the infection in my hip. Everything is doing a lot better now. Over a week ago I had to go through a colonoscopy and the preparation for that was awful, the stuff that I had to drink was so nasty. Hopefully the test results of that are back and everything was fine. I am doing physical therapy for my hip and hopefully I will be back at the gym working out soon. Thank you to everyone that has kept me in their prayers. I will keep you up dated.

I can't believe it's been 7 years today since Rob and I got married. As I look back, we have had our struggles, but we have grown as a couple. We had to grow up a lot since my ovarian cancer, we had to face that we were unable to have children of our own. I am so blessed to have a great husband, that loves me for who I am and I call my self lucky because I have found my best friend, and I can be with him for all time and eternity what a great blessing that is.

Hosiptal Time

Well, I was in the hosiptal for a couple of days because, I have had complications from my hip surgery. I have another staff infection, but I am doing okay for the most part. It's been really hard but I try and trust in the Lord and try and go day by day as much as possible. I will keep everyone posted on how I am.

Little Follower

Well it's been over a week since I have had my other total hip replacement. This has been really hard I have been really tired a lot. Doing physical therapy every other day. I just found out that my physical therapist is my brother in-law Jeremy's Uncle and what a small small world.

I know I have been through a lot but without my husband I couldn't do it, I am so blessed to have him around, also with my little 7 dogs around. One of my little dogs, his name is Rocky, and he follows me everywhere I go. When I have to use the bathroom he follows me, he has to sleep by me he just follows me everywhere I go.

He is just my little pal.

3 years since my last chemotherapy treatment

Well it has been 3 years since my last chemotherapy treatment! In September of 2004 I went in for my yearly and everything was fine. In a couple of months I was wasn't feeling so well and I was working at a nursing home as a CNA and I was helping a resident, and this resident punched me right where the tumor was and I thought it was my cycle coming but it wasn't so I decided to go in and see the doctor and it was December 10, 2004 I was told I had overian cancer. At the time I never even thought that I would ever have cancer. I went through 6 months of chemotherapy and it was no fun at all. When I had my first chemotherapy treatment my husband and I, adopoted a dachshund and her name was Alice and she followed me everywhere I went. I was so glad that I had her because she helped me alot and she made me feel better. It just broke my heart when we had to put her down September 23, 2006 because she was a big part of my life when I needed someone to cheer me up.

Puppies

Well the shih-tzu puppies will be 5 weeks old on July 23, 2008. This litter has been enough for a while. We are getting the puppies shots done on August 1, 2008 and they will be gone. Rob and I tried to get a good picture with all of them looking up but we couldn't, this is the best we could do with 7 puppies. We sold all of them, one of male's is going to my sister Ashlee and her husband Rick, so they can sell him. Rob and I thought it would help them out, because they helped us out when I was going through chemotherapy, and we wanted to give back to them what they gave us. I just wanted to tell Rick and Ashlee thank you for everything that they have done for us.

Logan River Trail

Everyday I try and go for a walk 6 days a week, on this trail which it is called the Logan River Trail, in Logan Utah. As I really can't walk on the treadmill yet because of my hip replacement, so I decided to walk on this trail, with my new 4 wheel walker and with my walking buddy which is my husband. This trail is 2 miles, and as we go walking we see about every little creature that comes out of their hole. It's just right by the golf course and we can always hear golf balls hit the trees, thank goodness one doesn't hit me (knock on wood). It is really peaceful, and helps me think about things and it helps my stress. So I hope you enjoy the pictures.

On Saturday July 5th, we sold all the chi-weiner's accept for one little girl. Because she wasn't eating like her sister and her brothers were. I think she takes after her dad, because when her dad was a puppy we had to feed him for about 6 weeks or so. Now we need to feed her as well. When we took all the puppies in for their shots before we sold them, she was the smallest and she only weighed 1lb and 8oz and she is going to be real small. Well my husband and I are getting attached to this little puppy, so we decided to keep this little puppy. We named her Luna instead of Lady, you can call us nuts because we do have 6 dogs already but we just love this little one. She pounces everywhere and she is just like a little fireball she is a lot of fun.

Okay, well you know that I have 6 dog's and 4 of them are shih-tzu's. Well Rob and I thought we would try and groom them all, because it is to expensive to groom all 4. It was hard but we did it and they all turned out okay. We had to have patience that is for sure.

Cancer For Relay For Life Walk

I had a chance to go to the cancer relay for life on June 6, 2008, this will be my third one that I have been too. I have to be greatful for all things that I have, since my cancer I have had my days. The chemotherapy has taken alot from me but I have to move on and I look out there and I can help other people that is going through cancer and try to lift them up. So I hope someday I can give back to those people that has help my husband and I out and donate to cancer so someday they can find a cure for cancer. My heart goes out to all those people that are going through cancer.

Chi-Weiner Puppies

It has been awhile since I posted anything, I have had a total hip replacement May 14, 2008. I am glad I had it done I had avascular necrosis is death of bone tissue due to a lack of blood supply. This can lead to tiny breaks in the bone and the bone's eventual collapse. If I didn't get it done I would of lost my leg. The doctor wants to do the other hip in a couple of weeks. But while I was gone my chi-weiner dog had puppies, 2 girl's and 2 boy's, Rob helped my dog to deliver the puppies, he handled it really well. So I hope you enjoy the pictures.
